I was in hope that this would not be necessary but I've heard enough! The people we are dealing with are without honor and therefore I intend to report every time something unusual happens to any of us in the opposition. The anonymity of these revelations is going to be kept unless I am told to use actual names. Hey out there! If you experience any intimidating behavior from anyone who is associated with the village send it to me on the feedback form below! These are not accusuations against the current adminstration and it's employees unless specifically stated! A citizen was excused by a police officer after he was ordered to follow a village ordinance. The officer excused him after the officer asked him if he had heard of the petition to "take away all his services" and he told the officer that he had not heard of this petition and that he wouldn't sign it anyway. It is certainly possible that the officer was just trying to be nice and that it happened after the conversation about the petition was just a coincidence. I certainly hope so. One of our members had a great number of emails from almost every state and local government office. The member had never sought any communication from any of these offices. The same member who received all the emails above had their social security number compromised on the internet twice. These happenings were reported to the authorities and are now under investigation. In this case as well as the one above it one can't help but wonder who would be privy to all the infomation passed out and stolen. One of the in town businesses had taken a petition to be available to have their Amelia resident customers sign if they chose to do so. They were called by one of the collection supervisors and the supervisor was told that the petition had 4 signatures so far. The supervisor went up to the business the next day to get the petition and was told by the owner that a tall white haired man had come into the business and stated that the petition was invalid and that the man had taken the petition and left. The owner was asked who the man was and said they didn't know. The supervisor was very upset and reported it to one of the other leaders who called in the sheriff. The officer took a photo lineup to the "Business Owner" and she picked Angelo Mitchell out of the lineup. The authorities then made contact with Mitchell who did admit that he went to the business but that he didn't take a petition with signatures on it but did take a blank petition. Back to the business owner who then said that Mitchell may have taken a blank petition. When asked about the petition with the 4 signatures the owner said that it was probably lost during some changes they were making inside the building. This is a very serious matter and remains under investigation by the Clermont County Sheriff's Office. We will post any additional information as it becomes available. This is a clear case of intimidation. If I would tell you the name of the business you would understand why Mr. Mitchell would probably have no business going into this business and if I had to take a guess I would say he had never been there before! Council BETTER STOP THIS PRACTICE NOW!!! One of our petition name collector volunteers quit abruptly without explanation. This is strictly a volunteer job and one must ask to be included. It seems strange that one could believe one day that this was the thing to do and change their minds the next, especially with no explaination or even a goodby, good luck. Still these things do happen. I did receive the RAMIFICATIONS threat-letter of August 11th, 2008 but for some strange reason I did not receive the hogwash cover up/excuse letter of early September. I had become very active and vocal about my opposition to the current administrations plans to destroy old Amelia and I couldn't help but wonder if I had been left out on purpose. But.... Even though we have excellent postal service here in Amelia it could have been lost but I have to say I doubt it. Still there is a strong possibility that the workers at the Adminstration building could also have overlooked me. It still seems strange to me. John M.
