Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) Report What Happened Last Year Submit Feedback Home |
I always thought that journalistic ethics were to investigate a story, make sure that its was true and verify all the facts that were to be used in the story. Well it is a little more complicated than that. I used good old google to find a web site called "The Society Of Professional Journalists" and they have a code of ethics listed in detail. I am going to just give you the title of the ethics list and the first rule. Please click here read the rest. Journalists should be honest, fair and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting information. Journalists should: — Test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent error. Deliberate distortion is never permissible. A pretty tall order by anyone's standards. __________________ |
